Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Carson Patents® uses cookies and similar technologies on carsonpatents.com. Read it together with our Privacy Policy, which describes the information processed through our website and how to contact us.

Manage your cookie preferences

Use the Cookie Banner button to review the choices available for your region. You can also use your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Necessary functions remain active. These choices apply to the browser and device you are using. If you use another browser or device, or clear stored consent information, you may need to select your preferences again. Contact us if the controls do not work as expected.

What cookies and similar technologies do

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Scripts, tracking pixels, and browser storage can also support website functions or measure activity. An online identifier or technical information may constitute personal information even if it does not include your name.

HTTPS encrypts connections to the website; an HTTPS certificate is not a cookie. Hosting, content delivery, and video playback are services that can process technical information separately from any cookies they use.

Necessary functions and preferences

Our WordPress.com hosting and related services support delivery and security of the website. Complianz manages the consent banner and records cookie choices. Necessary consent records help the website remember which optional categories you allow. Optional preferences, where used, remember settings selected to personalize your experience.

Contact-form security

Our contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile and Automattic Akismet to help detect automated or unwanted submissions. These services may process technical information, and Akismet can process submitted form information for spam assessment. See our Privacy Policy for more information.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand website activity and improve our content and services. Our analytics includes page views and link clicks, including clicks on consultation links. A consultation-link click measures interest in booking; it does not by itself establish that an appointment was booked.

Google Analytics uses identifiers, including cookies when enabled, to distinguish browsers and sessions and measure interactions. Google processes technical and usage information associated with these events. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Google Analytics is assigned to the Analytics category in our consent controls. Consent requirements and the banner shown may differ by region. Changing an analytics choice concerns future collection; it does not automatically delete information already collected.

Videos and outside services

Our site includes VideoPress-hosted videos. Loading or playing a video can require your browser to contact the video provider and provide technical information needed to deliver playback. See Automattic’s visitor privacy notice.

Some pages use Google Fonts. Font files may be served from our website or through WordPress.com font services. Loading an external font resource can provide the serving provider with the visitor’s IP address and other technical request information.

Our Google Analytics property remains linked to our Google Ads account, with personalized advertising disabled for that link. The link can support data exchange for measurement and conversion reporting; disabling personalized advertising does not disable all data exchange between these services. See Google’s explanation of linked accounts.

Links to consultation scheduling, payment, social media, and other external services lead to services with their own privacy and cookie practices. Our controls do not change preferences on those separate websites.

Cookie duration and browser controls

Some cookies expire when you close your browser; others remain until their expiry date or until you delete them. Expiry and renewal depend on the cookie, provider, and configuration. Cookie lifetime is different from the period for which a provider retains information already received.

Your browser settings can show stored cookies and let you block or delete them. Blocking necessary cookies may affect website functions or prevent your choices from being remembered. Deleting cookies does not itself request deletion of analytics records already held by a provider.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy when our website technologies or practices change. For questions about cookies or your choices, contact Gregory Carson at Contact@CarsonPatents.com or +1 (888) 483-1411.
