Sending Information About Your Invention
If you have not done so already, before your patentability consult, we need information about your invention in order to proceed with the prior art search. We generally say that you cannot over disclose details of your invention. The most important thing that needs to happen is that we understand the invention in terms of how to make and use it. Please feel free to use our patent intake form, or send any documents, images, videos, or other files.

What To Expect Next
If you are the inventor or applicant client paying for your own patentability consult services, we will be in touch soon to confirm your payment. As soon as we receive notice from our payment processor that your payment has been received, we will send you an email to confirm the payment. The subject line of the email will have our docket number that has been assigned to the matter and the amount you paid will be in the body of the message.
Our notice of payment received email to you will further include the next step(s) that we will be taking in moving your matter forward to completion. If we have questions or require verification of something, that will also be explained in the email notice regarding the payment.
There is no particular reason you would need to email us and let us know that you have made the payment, but it is easier and faster for us to verify and validate who is paying for which services if you email us to tell us you made the payment. The same is true if you are paying for our services for the benefit of another person or party.
If you are paying for someone else’s services, please keep reading … email us and let us know who you are paying for and how much. We can inform or not inform the inventor, applicant, or client of your identity as you choose. However, we will inform the inventor of the amount paid on their behalf.
Third Party Payor Notice
If you are paying for our patentability consult services and those services are to be provided to another person (inventor/applicant – party), you may or may not receive a notice that we received your payment. We appreciate your business. However, we want to point out (or remind) that we can, and do, only accept input and decisions regarding an invention from the inventor unless, or until, there is an assignment of interest or rights in any of our intellectual property applications from the owning inventor or applicant.
